DRAFT — PENDING LEGAL REVIEW
This policy describes how TradeCraft actually works as at July 2026. It has not yet been reviewed or approved by a lawyer.
Last updated: July 2026
The short version
TradeCraft is a training-video app for tradies and their teams. When you use it we collect the details you give us (like your name, email and trade), the searches you run, any photos you upload to search by picture, and what you watch. We use that to run the app and improve the video library. We do not run ads, we do not track you, and we do not sell your information.
A few features send content to specialist providers overseas: photos you submit for photo search and any question text go to an artificial intelligence (AI) provider in the United States, and voice recordings from the mobile apps are transcribed by another provider in the United States. Billing runs through Stripe and email through Resend, both in the United States. Our own servers and database are in Sydney, Australia. The full detail is below.
TradeCraft is a trading name operated by TradeCraft Group Pty Ltd (ABN 67 695 238 996). In this policy, "TradeCraft", "we", "us" and "our" refer to that operator. If you have any question about your privacy or this policy, email us at luke@tradecraftapp.com.au.
The TradeCraft website and mobile apps contain no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking or cross-app tracking of any kind. We do not use tracking pixels, ad networks, or third-party analytics tools, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
We use a small number of service providers to run TradeCraft. Photo and voice content is processed in the United States, as set out below.
| Provider | Location | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | United States | Photos you submit for photo search, plus any question text; and text used to author videos. |
| Groq | United States | Voice recordings from the mobile apps, and the audio of training videos we transcribe. |
| Stripe | United States | Your email, name, organisation name, and billing. |
| Resend | United States | Your email address and the content of emails we send you. |
| Tigris | Object storage on a global network | Files you upload, such as photos and your profile picture. |
| Fly.io | Sydney, Australia | Hosts our servers, database and logs. |
| Cloudflare | United States | Bot protection on sign-in pages, only if and when it is enabled. It is not currently active. |
Photo and voice content is processed in the United States. Our servers, database and logs are located in Sydney, Australia.
Photo search and voice transcription use AI providers (Anthropic for photos, Groq for voice). The media itself is the only personal content we send: we do not attach your name, email, or other account details to it. Where you can, please avoid including faces or other people's details in the photos you upload.
All traffic between your device and TradeCraft is protected in transit using HTTPS. Your password is stored only as a secure hash.
TradeCraft is used by trade businesses and their teams. If your employer invites you, the organisation's owner and admins can see your role and seat status, and your training activity in aggregate. We do not have a self-serve data export tool yet; if you need a copy of your information, email us and we will compile it manually.
Some of the providers listed above are located in the United States, and photo and voice content is processed there. By using the relevant features, your information may be disclosed to those overseas recipients as described in the table.
You can see and edit most of your details in the app. To request access to your information, ask us to correct it, or make a privacy complaint, email luke@tradecraftapp.com.au. We do not yet have an automated export tool, so an access request is compiled by hand. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your complaint, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
We may update this policy as TradeCraft changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
